Long Term Over-View

Mrs Tooth will be over-seeing the school's P.E. curriculum with class teachers taking responsibility for delivering their own class' sessions.  The children will have two hours a week physical activity, which includes their swimming session at Strode Pool in Street.

In April 2013, the Government announced new funding for P.E and Sport. The purpose of the funding is to improve the quality and breadth of P.E and sports provision. Our Impact Report shows how the money we receive was used and the impact it had on our children in the academic year 2016-2017.

ICC Women's World Cup Cricket - New Zealand vs West Indies - Thursday 6th July at Somerset County Ground, Taunton

On Thursday 6th July the whole school were lucky enough to get tickets to go and watch some world class cricket at the Somerset County Ground in Taunton. Taunton are hosting 8 of the women's world cup matches and went along to watch New Zealand vs West Indies. This was an excellent enrichment opportunity for the children, and the chance to see something a little bit different!

Netball Tournament - 23rd February at Strode College

On Thursday the 23rd of February 2017 Baltonsborough's netball team went to Strode College Sports Centre to play a game we like to call high five netball. We may not have won but we all tried our hardest. In the first game the scores were 0-0 and we were all pumped for the next match which finished 1-0, unfortunately for us they got the victory. In the third game we had a true battering we lost 3-0 but we pulled it through in our final game with a beautiful goal from Luca we picked up a victory of 1-0 we were all over the moon. A special thanks to all the players as we had a brilliant time.

Hockey Tournament - 9th February at Strode College

Our hockey team played brilliantly on Thursday, winning all of their games. They went through to the final and won! We are so excited to be through to the County Final in April. Well done to everyone involved in our hockey team.
