In Pearmain Class we have been doing lots of work in Literacy on cultural and racial discrimination. We have already finished our unit on the Windrush Generation and are now onto our new book “Hidden Figures”. By the end of the unit, we are hoping to have written a memoir for one of the amazing black women, who overcame segregation and discrimination to push America’s space program- NASA (NACA) – to the forefront of history.

In art, we are currently looking at different forms of environmental art and the messages they have and how they highlight the current threats to our planet! We have looked at many different forms of ideas and even had a go at creating their own creative pieces made entirely out of recyclable material.
