It was so excellent to be joined by so many parents for our river walk on Monday. We had a great time down by the water and we were able to take measurements of the river’s depth and flow rate. It was a great opportunity for us to put some of our learning into context and get an idea of how some of the human and physical geographical features have shaped our local landscape over the past 1,000 years (we learnt that the Mill Stream is a man made extension from the Brue, being cut out around 1000 years ago to provide water to the local mills).
